ADV Systems offers its services from the beginning of the project life cycle, initiated by the identification of a need or an opportunity.
ADV masters the different steps of this phase of initiation, including:
- State-of-the-art, i.e. an analysis of the current situation
- Problem statement
- User need and expectation collection
- Gap-analysis
During this initiation phase, the capture of the users’ needs is crucial for the project life cycle since:
- They are collected at the beginning of the lifecycle;
- They aim at the end of the lifecycle, namely system delivery and end-user / customer satisfaction;
- They are central to the lifecycle insofar as all the lifecycle is built and oriented towards the fulfilment of the users’ needs.
Consequently, it is essential that the user needs are exhaustively identified, clearly formalised and smartly consolidated.
ADV Systems is recognised for its ability to dig into the users’ minds, dig out the relevant information and organise it cleverly and in standard mode. To live up to it, we rely on four assets:
-
A team of skilled, highly qualified and passionate consultants used to conducting surveys and organising interviews with the various actors of the air transport;
-
A detailed understanding of the Air Traffic Management question in Europe, and the relative issues;
-
A network of freelance consultants providing us with ad-hoc support on each study. They are operational staff, usually retired from the aviation business and committed to share their experience with ADV’s consultants. They are also key facilitators when interviews or consultations are organised with stakeholders;
-
Methods and tools providing us with a robust, structured and sound approach to the identification of the users’ needs. They help us circumscribe the scope of the project and make sure that it is entirely covered when collecting the needs.
The alliance of these four ingredients is usually a fruitful mix paying dividends. It was successfully applied to various ATM studies.
